Industrial Visits

	II MCA students visited Vi Microsystems, Chennai on 09/10/10 accompanied by Ms. A. Sheela and Ms. B. Priya. Students found the Industrial Visit very useful and interesting.
	III MCA students visited AMI, Chennai on 06/10/10 accompanied by Ms. A. Meena Kabilan and Mr. T. Prabahar Godwin James. Students found the Industrial Visit very informative.
	Our II MCA students attended Industrial visit to Vi MicroSystems, Chennai on 20/02/10. Mrs. V.R. Kanagavalli and Mrs. J.M. Nandhini accompanied the students.
	Our I MCA students attended Industrial visit to Comet Infotech Pvt. Ltd., Chennai on 24/04/10. Mr. J. Jayachandran and Mrs. B. Kamala accompanied the students.

Staff Development Programmes The Department of Computer Applications organized a two day Staff Development Programme on “CASE Tools, Environment and Workbenches – CTW’11” - on 21st and 22nd December 2011. The programme was attended by nearly 25 faculty members from various engineering colleges in and around Chennai. Infogeddon 2k11 (Technical Symposium)

Department Of Computer Applications conducted a one day National Level Technical Symposium INFOGEDDON- 2K11 on 15th September 2011. Infogeddon-2K11 is filled with various events like paper presentation, quiz, and web designing. Around 60 colleges participated in this function
The theme of the symposium was "Eye Donation". The symposium was inaugurated by Mr. Anand Parthasarathy, Medical Director, Vasan Eye Bank.

The department signed a MOU with Sabre IT Solutions. The Department Technical News Letter "Technolead'11" was released by Mr. Anand Parthasarathy and the copies were received by Dr. Ananthapadmanaban, Principal, HOD, Coordinator and President

Educational Tour
(22/09/09 – 27/09/2009)

Final year students were taken to Wayanad, Munnar, and Cochin as a part of their Educational tour. Totally 44 students visited along with the faculty members Mrs. J.Vijayalakshmi, HOD and Mr. S.Gurusubramani , Lecturer.

All the students enjoyed the trip and they took the lead in organizing the various aspects like scheduling, catering etc. They acquired qualities of cooperation, coordination responsibilities, discipline etc.
